Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What are concurrent user logins (CCU)?
CCU describes the maximum number of users who can access the EGroupware system simultaneously. A user can be logged on to the system several times, but is only counted as one CCU.
Please note that users who synchronise always need a CCU, as synchronisation keeps the connection open.
A typical example: You have 10 permanent employees who are constantly online. In addition, you have 10 freelancers or part-time employees who will only use EGroupware from time to time. Then we recommend booking 12-14 CCUs. If necessary, the number can be quickly adjusted.
In case of short-term additional demand, e.g. for training, please contact us. We will be happy to activate additional CCUs for you at short notice and without additional costs.
How many licenses do I need for Collabora?
The Collabora licence applies to different users and not to CCU. You therefore need a licence for each user who wants to use Collabora.
How is data backup and data recovery done?
EGroupware basically keeps all data in 2 data centres and availability zones.
The data backup takes place in 3 areas: EGroupware database, files and emails (if EGroupware email service is used). We create so-called snapshots of all data: at least 7 daily snapshots and additionally 12 weekly snapshots.
If you need a recovery of a certain data status, please contact us. We will be happy to restore your data backup on the basis of support quotas. For example, emails or files deleted by mistake.
Are there special agreements for educational institutions and NGO's?
We offer special conditions for educational institutions, associations and non-profit organisations. Please feel free to contact us.
How can I move from the on-premises to the cloud?
Depending on the version of your EGroupware, you can easily migrate from your own installation to the EGroupware Cloud and vice versa.
Simply contact us and we will help you with the migration.
Which package suits me - from when does eFlat make sense?
Use our package configurator to put together prices for your individual situation.
It doesn't matter if you want to calculate how the price changes with 2 additional CCUs or if you need 50 GB of additional storage space. The purchase of the package always takes place in the next step.
eFlat is particularly suitable if you have a large number of users who should have permanent access to the system.
If you are unsure, simply contact us!
